Hi, my name is Sharon Theodore and I am an 8 year breast cancer survivor.  I was 46, married to my wonderful husband Jim for 24 years, daughter, Janelle was graduating from St. Bonas with her master's, and my son Jakob was 10 and still needed his mom.  My life was cruising right along and then I hit a "bump" in my journey.

Without my faith, family and friends my story would be alot different.  I always aimed to be positive and was able to go back to work after 2 major surgeries in 2 months.  I take pride knowing I worked around chemo treatments and went to radiation during my lunch breaks.

Humor was what got us through: the head shaving party, family dinners to celebrate each step in "Our" journey. My church family provided meals, and the cards were uplifting,  impromptu weekend trips and Darien Lake were our vacations that year.

My daughter surprised me with a pink painted pumpkin, which was my first introduction to the PPP!  They last forever!  I started attending the Gala, Tea time, the 5k , Thanksgiving and Christmas party, (which even includes a visit from Santa).

It is great meeting ladies of all ages who have been down the same road as you. There is time to share, listen or just visit, knowing we all are grateful for each new day.  A friend of mine calls it a "Club", not one you want to join but having the PPP sisterhood is comforting knowing they are with us to help in any way!

A special "Thank You" for the PPP ladies and families who include us in their thoughts, prayers and countless hours of organizing events for us to feel extra special and loved!!  You all are a blessing and proud to call you my friends.
See ya at the next event!

All my love,

Sharon
